Portofino Island Resort 2013/2014
With updating the overall branding for Portofino Island Resort, I was also given the chance to give the Wedding Department a fresh, new look.
Between myself, the marketing team and the wedding coordinator, we were able to update all in-house documents such as the wedding packet, providing information to those inquiring about venues, cost, bridal packages and even menu options.
We also developed promotional mailers, as well as integrated ourselves in social media through Pinterest, Facebook and various e-blasts. In addition, we created personalized gift tags and advertisements in popular Gulf Coast magazine's such as VIE and The Knot.
Premier Island Management Group 2013
When I first assisted Envie they needed some help establishing themselves as a brand. I was able to provide them with a clean, new look that reflected their high class fashion and style while making them look up to date with today’s modern trends.
I helped Envie Boutique create everything from rack cards, mailers, e-blasts, and web headers to scripting posts and jpegs for Facebook. In turn, increasing their visibility to their followers and building hype for their sales.

Various collateral such as full size banners, brochures and business promotions were produced to stay consistent with the updated brand identity as well as increase sales in the spa.
Concordia Seminary 2014
Campaign created under the Art Direction of Jayna Rollings to promote the 175th Anniversary Celebration of Concordia Seminary. I was assigned to create the logo design, branding system, as well as illustrations, to help give the Seminary a personal touch and glimpse of their campuses past into their present.
Everything was created for this event including invites, maps, postcards, totes, wristbands, lecture flyers, congregation posters, buttons, various print and web advertisements and even holiday commemorative ornaments in memory of this grand celebration.
Meredith Corporation / 2012 Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Issues
As an intern at Meredith, I have designed many layouts for Diabetic Living. I often collaborated with my team to discuss the overall design vision, and mocked up spreads keeping the style consistent with the brand.
While I have done a lot of spreads under the art direction of Michelle Bilyeu, toward the end of my internship I was given more freedom to create layouts from scratch as well as design pdfs and ads for web. I did a lot of stock research, helped with photo shoots, participated in critiques, market research, and prepped files for print. I was able to experience the whole process of magazine design and production from start to finish.
Iowa State University 2012
This was a group project for class in which we had to create a packaging system. My group chose to create a Christmas line called Pear Tree which became a play off the famous holiday song “Partridge in a Pear Tree”. I designed the logo, and we each individually created our own cards, tags, wrapping paper and bags along with our own patterns. As a group we created a gift box to hold all of our tags and cards, a light box, ribbon holder, and an ornament box. We recieved an ADAI award of excellence for the packaging category, in April of 2012.
While working for Portofino, I worked on a variety of projects from advertisements, banners and brochures, to mailers, stationary, PDF’s, web headers and e-blasts.
I also was able to revamp Portofino’s look by taking it to a new level of professionalism. Clean, fresh and consistent. Letting its natural beauty speak for itself.

Iowa State University 2012
Deployment Day-by-Day is a research project based on stress within military families. Since most of the stress is on the spouse, especially during times of deployment, I developed a 60 page book to help aid the deployment experience.
The idea was to create a handbook that was easily accessible for busy parents who are on their own and need advice quick. The book is divided into four different sections, along with popular tips and tools gathered from past and present military spouses, as well as doctors and a notes section for the reader to jot down their favorite ideas.
The design is clean and friendly, including lots of white space and bright, neutral colors to be of interest to either sex and keep the content simple and easy to find.
